About
Hi, I’m Francesco, but most people call me Cesco. I’m a jazz drummer with over 20 years of experience playing and studying music. I’ve performed in small groups, big bands, and jam sessions, and I bring that same energy into my teaching.My lessons are fun, structured, and tailored to each student. For kids, that means building confidence through simple grooves and songs they love. For teens and adults, it might mean learning to jam with a band, read charts, or explore jazz, Latin, and pop rhythms.I believe anyone can learn drums with the right mix of fundamentals and creativity — and my goal is to make lessons something students look forward to each week.
What and how I teach
Most of my lessons are online via Zoom, which means you can learn from the comfort of your own home anywhere in the world with just a practice pad, sticks, or a drum kit. Online lessons are flexible, easy to set up, and work just as well for kids, teens, and adults. Plus you get the benefit to record the lesson, slow down videos and rewatch it whenever you want.If needed, I also teach in-person lessons in Darien, CT area.I focus on helping students:Build strong fundamentals (technique, rhythm, reading, stick control).Learn grooves and songs they love right from the start.Explore styles like rock, pop, jazz, funk and Latin once they’re ready.Gain the confidence to play with bands, friends, or school ensembles.Whether you’re picking up drums for the first time or getting serious about improving, I’ll tailor each lesson to your goals and keep it fun along the way.
